Decoder Installation

The following occurs during installation -

  • A complete loco tune-up.

    If your engine doesn't run right to start with, adding a decoder won't solve the problem.


  • Install the decoder to operate the motor and forward head lights.
  • Optional adding a rear head lamp (included if on original model)
  • Optional adding special effects like ditch lights or roof beacon.

    $25.00/hr labor (plus parts if needed)
