The DTC/DHC Story

Digital Train Controls was started back in 1993 when Steve Rosnick saw the need in the Midwest region for a Digitrax dealer. DTC was among the first Digitrax dealers in the USA.

DTC was located in the Heartland - Lenexa, Kansas (in the greater Kansas City area). This was my old layout,. We have since moved to Libertyville, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago. Our new store is not only much larger, but we've expanded our inventory and now carry R/C gas and electric planes and cars, plastic models, rocketry and of course model railroading.

As my customer base grew, so did the request for different model railroad items. I tried to accommodate as many requests as received and eventually was able to carry most of the standard lines as shown on my "line card".

Under the manufacturers heading I plan to list most or all of the items they make. Please don't interpret this as meaning every item is either in stock or even available anymore. If I find items listed that are no longer available (limited runs or discontinued) I will delete it from the list. We do special orders, so if you don't see it - please ask.

As noted on my home page, please feel free to contact me with comments, questions or opinions. I try to respond to everyone.

I'll be happy to assist you in planning your requirements for adding or expanding DCC on your layout. One of DHC's keystone is service and attempting to know my customers. As you order from DHC I keep a database of info tracking your scale, era, prototype (or lack thereof) interest and if you're operations oriented. This aids me in sending you e-mails with new products or new arrivals that I feel may interest you. Of course I do hope you'll frequent these pages to see what's new as well.
